Hailing from Long Island New York, rapper HOODIE ALLEN is set to embark on a long overdue, intimate Australian tour hitting the East Coast this September.

A year since dropping his latest album, The Hype, Hoodie Allen will take to the stage for highly anticipated ‘one night only’ club shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne before crossing the Tasman for one Auckland show.

Hoodie Allen, born Steven Markowitz, is an independent American rapper with four Top Ten hits in Billboard’s Top Rap Albums to his name since launching his now skyrocketing recording career.

Raising his profile and showcasing his natural talent via the internet and frat parties, in 2012 Hoodie Allen released his breakout EP All American which debuted at #10 on the Billboard 200 and was later followed by an acoustic version. In October 2014, Allen released his debut studio album, People Keep Talking, which hit #8 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the Rap Albums chart, featuring the singles "Movie" and "Dumb for You" along with guest appearances from Ed Sheeran and Alex Wiley.

Allen’s 2016 sophomore long play offering, Happy Camper, hit the top spot on Billboard's Rap/Hip-Hop Chart and Top 30 on the Billboard 200, as well as peaking at #1 on the Independent Albums Chart. The album is home to singles "Champagne and Pools” featuring Blackbear and Kyle, "Are U Having Any Fun?" featuring Meghan Tonjes and “Surprise Party” also featuring Blackbear.

September 2017 saw release of Hoodie Allen’s much anticipated third studio album, The Hype; 12 tracks featuring lead single, “Sushi”. The year finished with an extensive headline tour of North America and Europe - The Hype World Tour – and now, finally, it’s Australia’s turn!

With his own charming blend of pop and hip hop, rapper Hoodie Allen went from Internet favourite to charting artist with the release of his 2012 EP All American.

Born Steven Markowitz and raised on Long Island, Hoodie first started releasing music while attending the University of Pennsylvania.  After winning MTV's Best Music on Campus Award in 2009, his first big hit came with the 2010 track "You Are Not a Robot," which sampled Marina and The Diamonds and landed on his popular mixtape Pep Rally. A headlining tour across the U.S. followed before Hoodie made his official debut with the All-American EP in 2012. Released on his own label, the EP debuted at number ten on Billboard's Top Albums and was followed in 2013 by mixtape such as ‘Crew Cuts’ and his debut full length album People Keep Talking.

Hoodie has gone on to collaborate with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Chance the Rapper, G-Eazy, Blackbear, and many more, making his independent success a rarity in the current music landscape.

Following his latest 2017 release The Hype, Hoodie is embarking on his 4th European tour with a lot of new music readying for release in 2019.
